NStation L200 Ethernet Based - 500-0039

The NStation L200 is a Network-based computing terminal and
incorporates our proprietary server technologies on our proprietary
SoC (System on Chip) embedded chip with unique algorithms. This
allows multiple users the ability to share the computing resources
of a single computer's CPU, Memory, HDD, etc. A maximum of ten L200
stations can be attached to one host computer (Up to 30 on Windows
Server 2003). A total of eleven users including the server can
enjoy individual computing access independently and securely. This
NStation is optimal for use in an office, hospital, home, call
center, training center, computer lab, internet cafe, and other
various sites. In addition, the L200 is NComputing's first device
to offer USB ports for external storage to memory sticks.

cheaper cost of ownership. Just purchasing one host computer and
multiple NStation L100 as needed up to ten, you can achieve computing

Since there is no CPU, Memory, or HDD, no additional hardware or
software maintenance would be required. The host PC is the only device
that requires additional maintenance.

* Compatibility
Most programs that currently run on Windows and Linux will run on the
NStation L200 solution without compatibility issues. (3D games and
certain programs may not run on the NStation.) (Linux support for the
L200 will be available in Q4 2006.)

* Simultaneous User Operation
Both the Host PC and the NStation L200 can run independently and execute
the same applications independently. (Additional Software licenses may
be required).

The L200 provides an all-in-one solution with a Network Terminal and
Enterprise Terminal Server Software developed in-house by NComputing.

* USB Memory Port
NStation L200 provides memory port for USB flash memory device
connection. Administrator can enable or disable its data transfer
from/to Host PC via Admin console menu option. (NStation L200 supports
and emulates USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices.)
Due to limitation of Windows Drive letter assignments (i.e. A: - C:),
each Host PC may only allow a limited number of USB Flash Memory Drives
for users to access. For example, a Host PC with 2 HDDs, 1 CD-ROM,
1 DVD-R/W, and 1 Floppy drive may use drives A: to F:. Therefore, drives
G: to Z: would be the only available drive letters for the L200 Memory
port to occupy in this case.

* This product is intended to reduce H/W deployment and maintenance costs.
Additional software licenses may be required by the software licensors.
Please check your software user license agreement to ensure your
continued compliance with such agreement.
The NComputing Terminal Server software comes with free of charge and 14
month free internet update service. After 14 months from the date of
registration, to get most recent version of terminal server software,
customer may need to buy extended subscription membership from website or
local distributor.

* The maximum number of users can vary depending on the configuration of
the host PC, the type of OS, and administrative privileges. To achieve
30 users from one PC, you must use Microsoft's 2003 Server OS or Linux.
Windows 2000 and XP only allow for up to 10 users.
